With our unique technology, we release the components of the legume from each other instead of breaking them. This is done by using a lot of small and gentle forces. The technology is based on acceleration, pressure changes and moderate vibrations and is very gentle on all the product’s constituent parts. The peas disintegrate along natural fracture surfaces. The different components – protein, flour and fibre – are then separated with a wind sieve.
Unlike many of our competitors, we do not use any chemicals at all in our process to enrich the protein. The whole process is dry. Our technical solution, which is automated and self-learning, ensures that the right amount of humidity is released before the protein is separated.
Our technology is very energy-efficient because the end products, protein, flour and fibre, do not have to be spray-dried afterwards, a production step in conventional technology that requires a lot of energy.
